To find something;
that is truly something.
Inspiration is The Unicorn
for which men
search the entire world over.
Inspiration comes from the simplest moments;
is retrieved from the unique experience
of every lackluster lifestyle.
The bathing sun can inspire a frozen river to dance.
The beauty of one's lady love can inspire the heart of a
desperate man, searching for God's answers.
Inspiration; however, does not condensate from news reports,
or a late-night sitcom.
It doesn't emerge from your blackberry, or via the internet.
No, inspiration is the one intangible that remains strictly
divine.
Do not desecrate this relic with unsubstantial poetry.
Creation is only as pure as its creator.
With intentions uncontaminated,
and empty taps revealed,
the search continues...
"creation is only as pure as it's creator"... the purest line in this entire poem. i think the use of ellipses works well. 3rd stanza is the best i think. i also find myself pondering the meaning of some lines.... this piece is deeper than one would think
